The Celebration of Easter for us all will be different this year due to the current circumstances.
The Feast of Easter and its preceding lead up through Holy Week, including the Sacred Triduum, are not, however, ‘cancelled’. Yes, they will be celebrated but this will be under a different form, most particularly, without us being able to (physically) join together as a Parish community to share the Easter journey.
Whilst this will feel unusual for us all, it does not prevent us sharing the week through prayer or taking time out from our daily lives, where possible, to reflect on the Easter journey in our own individual way.
A number of news posts will shortly follow, addressing different aspects of the week to come – how the Services of Holy Week will be celebrated; how you might join in through live streaming or other media.
It remains the most special of weeks in our lives as Christians. In spite of the changed circumstances this year, please continue to mark and celebrate the Holy Week journey which will culminate in the Celebration of Easter on Sun 12th April
