Eucharistic Ministers

Pyx

Our Eucharistic Ministers are chosen from within our community to undertake this special and privileged role amongst us.

Those commissioned as Eucharistic Ministers bring the benefit of Holy Communion to our sick and housebound parishioners; they assist our Priests at Mass with the distribution of Holy Communion (bread and wine); if a Priest is unavailable to celebrate Mass, they may conduct Services of the Word and Holy Communion.

Those invited to undertake the role are trained into it by the Diocese and, before commencement, are commissioned by our Bishop. The renewal of a Eucharistic Minister’s commitment takes place each year during the Easter Triduum.
