A glorious sun-filled Sunday 7th July saw the culmination of our Parish celebrations.

We welcomed Bishop Patrick amongst us as the main celebrant for our Sunday Mass, joining Fr Michael, Fr Peter and Fr Tim O’Sullivan, our former Parish Priest at the time our new church was opened, in concelebrating what was a joyous Mass of Celebration.

The celebrations began with a Parish Blessing from Bishop Patrick in the school hall together with a thanksgiving for the work of our school in the early years formation of its pupils across 50 years. A Parish procession led by Bishop Patrick then took us from school, through the Parish grounds to the church for the celebration of Mass. With the talents and participation of our Parish groups in the preparation of the liturgy; an offertory procession of items representing the history of our Parish in addition to the bread and wine, it was a celebration of our Parish life.

In his words during the Mass, Bishop Patrick gave thanks to the Parish, from School to all aspects of our Parish life; for those whose work had brought about the establishment of Holy Trinity Academy and our Church on their present sites 50 and 40 years ago; and the Parish family we are.

At the conclusion of Mass there was a greeting for all from Bishop Patrick and our Priests before a Parish ‘sharing table’ of refreshments.

It was a day of true celebration of our Parish!
